ExcelyHealth Medical Transport Driver Job Description
At ExcelyHealth Medical Transport, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate and reliable non-emergency medical transportation services. Our motto, "Excellence with Every Journey," guides everything we do. We are looking for dedicated drivers to join our team and help transport clients safely and comfortably to their appointments.
Key Responsibilities
PATIENT TRANSPORTATION: Drive patients in wheelchair and stretcher-capable vehicles to doctor appointments, dialysis centers, and hospitals.
VEHICLE MANAGEMENT: Load wheelchairs and stretchers into vehicles, securing all safety straps. This involves bending, lifting, and stretching to ensure passengers are safely loaded.
TECHNOLOGY USE: Operate an apple IOS tablet inside the vehicle for dispatch software and voice-guided navigation to destinations.
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the vehicle and equipment, report any maintenance issues, refuel the vehicle, and check oil levels.
FACILITY ACCESS: Walk inside all rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, hospice centers, and some home residences. Our service is door-through-door, not curbside. Expect significant walking throughout the day.
PATIENT ASSISTANCE: Assist in loading, unloading, sliding, and transferring patients up to 200lbs or more onto stretchers or into wheelchairs.
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time drivers and helpers work 3-4 days per week, with typical workdays ranging from 9 to 12 hours depending on trip demand. One weekend day every other week and some holidays are required.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS: All drivers must wear the Excely Health logo polo shirt.
